..new beginnings and frosted cakes...

Well, hopefully after this post we'll have more exciting news!!!

Currently, as Fall came, so did our 6th Month wedding anniversary. September 14 it was. Its hard to believe it has flown by so quickly. As our anniversary came, we decided to put our future in our hands and make way to start living TOGETHER, hard to believe we are married for this long and still commuting to see each other.

After applying to many jobs for both of us, I landed not ONE but TWO interviews at a company in the Quad Cities. I was told, and continue to wait to hear good news that if i DO in fact get these jobs (two part time jobs) that this means M O V I N G!!!! YAY

We pray and pray and pray for our lives to come together as one, and that we are able to achieve these goals we've set up for ourselves. I should find out any day if this is true. Please pray, I get these jobs, Austin gets one of the ones he's been working on, and we can then relocate!!!

I will keep you updated!!!

As we are waiting to embark on this new life changing opportunities, we also have the life changing number of 4.

Why 4, well that is how old my niece and nephew are. Hard to believe I was a freshman in college when I got the phone call from Dianna telling me she was pregnant. They are so big now! For their birthdays, Dianna or my mom make their individual birthday cakes. Well, this year, after baking so much with them they requested, "Auntie Cassie" make them cakes.

So that's what I (we) did!

Here's how they turned out!!!

Emma's Cake (Princess castle)

Landen's Cake, Lightning McQueen from Cars!!

*Keep in mind, we had to make them as close to personal size as possible..:)

Until more news...

..in between the states...

As you can tell by the gap in days, Austin and I have been, well between the states. "States" meaning from Chicago, Illinois to the Quad Cities, Iowa. We continue to pray and hope that soon we will be able to find one place, with two jobs, under one roof where we both can settle and enjoy this wonderful married life as we are a little half through our first year.

Hard to believe, but true nonetheless.

I'm still working in Lockport, where Austin has some freelance jobs here and a job back home he works at. We continue to make it work in hopes soon, we'll be able to move, together, and enjoy life.

I know not many people see this, but if you do, I ask you pray for us, and for jobs to become open and people to see our talents and inspire to have us as a part of their team.

Please please...

Hopefully soon we'll have more exciting news for you. Don't worry, I have found two more wines under $10 that I need to post (uhm. uhm.. Their on Austin's computer) to you all can go out and enjoy them!!!

Until later!

Take care

..from the apple trees...

I must share this with all of the wine lovers. Austin and I have enjoyed trying a variety of wines since our trips to Europe in college. As time has gone by, I couldn't count how many have reached our favorite lists.. more like MY favorite, as Austin doesn't drink much more than a glass.. ;)

Here it is.... only $6.99 a bottle at Binny's (I'm sure they sell it elsewhere) but it is made here in Illinois from Illinois Cellars.

Try it!

* Enjoy! It pairs well on its own for a sweet night wine, with any type of meat dish or, personally, i don't mind it with a salty snack!!!:)

..just starting out..

..Welcome..

I guess we can just start out by saying, "we're trying this out, we'll see where we end up." As time might explain better, we are a little all over the place these days. Our current situation is not the most ideal for a newly married couple (March 14, 2009 to be exact.) but we are making the best out of it.

For those of you, any of you that might read this, here we are:

We are Austin Kimler and Cassandra (really just Cassie) Kimler (used to be Bonafacchi). We met many sunsets and textbooks ago in college our sophomore year at the University of Dubuque, in Dubuque, Iowa. There, we both studied differently, him Computer Graphics and Interactive Media, me, Psychology and a dabble of Nursing... We end up here today, after 3 years of learning day in and day out more about eachother, we got married and are now still in the process of figuring out where we belong.

We might know that we belong in eachothers hearts, but i am referring to, location of our marriage. As many are dealing with the economical difficulties, we too are affected. We are currently still living, somewhat seperately. Some might call this type of marriage, "the best type there is" but we disagree. We miss eachother terriably, and wish and pray for a change, where we can be living under one roof, together, on our own.

As we start to make more sacrifices, and adjustments, we are trying to find the place where we belong.

Other than a few here and there's that's us...

I'm going to try and update this and things within us change or when updates occur... and we'll see where we go!!

until next time... buona sera
